Art and stories no longer loading #45

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run the application
2. Click on either artwork or stories
3. Watch as they never load

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Am expecting artwork to load

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Am using the latest from the play store

Please provide any additional information below.
Problem started just before Christmas. I tried to clear all the data for the 
app. It loads my profile pic, but won't load anything else

This issue has resurfaced again ... profile loads, but the artwork doesnt

Now the problem occurs because Java does not handle redirects from HTTP to 
HTTPS. A patch is attached.
In case there is nobody to make an official build, there is an unofficial one:
