final decision on art assets (realistic, textured or flat-shaded low poly, PSX?) #35

Can cleanup VoxelTinyDungeon_ExtraContent.vox which may have the vox of the sandy tileset

Mainly, make floors not have holes and walls be thinner.

Or use https://brokenvector.itch.io/ultimate-low-poly-dungeon to start with or https://opengameart.org/content/modular-castle-level-construction-kit

do not use handpainted or cartoony styles. Some stylized is fine, but not those.

Textured, untextured, or mixed? World untextured, objects textured? Important stuff textured? No idea how this'll look, but might work. Do not want the “flat shaded” unsmoothed, minimalistic look for everything, but uninteractiables like tileset...maybe

Not voxels what about stylistic use of sprites, for, like, hanging individual chains?

pixel art filter over it to make it more like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pupdeq1MoVw

Some Cthulian sections could be Mirrormoon/Kairo like

mood board and palette choices for each level?

https://sundaysundae.co/how-to-make-low-poly-look-good/ talks about materials, specularity, lighting

Could straight up do the PSX thing https://www.reddit.com/r/low_poly/comments/rdvsdn/reto_lowpoly_modular_indoor_environment_i_hope/ https://chilly-durango.itch.io/medieval-building-parts https://store.steampowered.com/app/429720/IMSCARED/ with a bit of Nocturne https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nocturne_(video_game) Dread Delusion, Heartworm, or Anatomy or Lost In Vivo

no ceilings as a practical and an aesthetic due to three modes of viewport/play, except when good art pieces exist? or intending claustrophobia
