Feedback for my PhD thesis section about Modelica #15

I would be very happy if you could give me feedback on the introduction to Modelica that I sent you via mail. I would prefer to get this feedback gathered together from all of you in a single email. I am especially interested in any issues with the understandability for novices of the language. However, I do assume that my readers will have some general scientific background regarding mathematical notations.
