The 470MHz upper frequency coverage is lower than the RDA1846 supports #1

You have an upper limit of 470MHz but the RDA1846 commonly supports up to 520MHz. Is this lower limit a software or hardware limitation? It should be noted that extending that extending the transmit and receive to 478MHz would allow to be used on the PRS band (80 channel UHF CB) used in New Zealand and Australia. Extending receive coverage to 489Mhz would allow reception of New Zealand police.

Thank you for contacting us.
This is simply the RF hardware limitation issue. Later, we will try to provide a guide on how to modify easily. Thanks.

Will the schematics be made public?

MordFIdel commented 1 year ago

Yes definitely

Any update on this. I assume the limitation is in the firmware in the RF module. Maybe the module's supplier could give updated firmware to extend the module's frequency coverage?

Hi,

I will see what I can do. It is in my interest too to have it extended. I'll get back to you.
