cannot blazon things as "between bendlets"

Can you provide an example blazon that demonstrates the problem?
Argent, between two bendlets sable, three mascles of the second. (just the 
minimal)
Argent, between two bendlets engrailed sable, three covered cups of the second.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
To have the items placed between the bendlets. No bendlets and no items appear.

What version of drawshield are you using?
2.2a3

What browser and version where you using to view the shield? Does the
problem also occur on other browsers?
Firefox, yes
