running ipm in Windows desttop #243

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.following the steps in readme with Python 2.6.6 and Visual Studio Exp 2010
2. step:  python ipm.py --desktop

What is the expected output? 
running ipm in console.

What do you see instead?
see attached file

What version of the product are you using? 
Python 2.6.6, Visual Studio Exp. 2010, pymite-09 release

On what operating system?
WIndows 7
