I wonder if during refactoring, one could allow, by default or by simple
switch, ALL the sectioning commands to be accepted without throwing errors. In
trying to make semester-long lecturer's notes, I found that I occasionally
wanted to create outline structures in latex sectioning in preparation of
*content* (Essentially, I reuse, the same outline and some of same content with
different levels of detail: a course overview, beamer/beamerarticle for
slides/lecturenotes, problem sets, etc.. I was trying to use Tufte for some
of this and the inability to handle only a few levels without throwing errors
prevented use.)
I would *agree* that for the default *presentation* for Tufte-latex the lower
sectioning commands would have no or very subtle effects on *presentation*.
Subsubsection might, by default, look like newthought. Paragraph and
subparagraph would essentially the first sentence of a paragraph (perhaps, with
emphasis). Or what I would prefer is that all would be first sentences with a
rather modest large/medium/small semantic break in spacing with previous
paragraph for subsubsection, paragraph, subparagraph, respectively. Perhaps
one could specify the semantic breaks to be either all standard spacing or a
3x, 2x, 1.5x spacing.
