FF 57.0.2 32bit Sometimes tab groups won't load in "Sync Tab Groups" menu for some long time.

Are you on Windows ? Aren't they loaded even if you close/reopen the menu window ?

Win7 32bit Ultimate SP1 Reopening menu, restarting FF, rebooting the system, disabling\enabling the app, removing\installng back is no go - still dead. It happend one time before, and soon has returned back to normal until now.

It is completely strange. At least: removing\installing should have cleaned everything.

Did you see something specific in the FF console (Ctrl+Maj+J) when it happened ?

Ctrl+Shift+J? Wasn't looking at that time.

Got another tab groups app recently, then removed it, then installed Sync Tab Groups back - seems to be working. For the time being.

What do you mean ?

Did you lost all the groups ? (Could you export and see them in the file ?)
Or didn't they appear in the menu only ?

Did you check the console ?

Without more information or an exact procedure for reproduce it again, it will be hard to correct.

Menu wasn't expanding with the groups in it as 2 times before. Also i have no idea what to look in the console for. After that i rolled back on FF 56, which this addon seems not to be compatible with.

Error messages about missing data or processing, with keywords like group, grouplist or React.

Next release will contain a more recent (last) version of the graphical library and be better optimized for displaying. I haven't tried on windows yet. I am waiting to add all the new features. I will keep you in touch.

After that i rolled back on FF 56, which this add-on seems not to be compatible with.

Not yet, next version will.

I caught an error rather similar yesterday. No group was displayed.

I checked the data and the groups contained dead object. Dead object are data removed from the memory. All functions were broken in the extension. (That might be a reason why you can't create new group).

I will:

Check for dead objects where I found some yesterday
- If I found some: I tell the user to contact me and how to provide good information
- Also, I reload the groups from the disk. In my case, they were still present and not corrupted. (But, the technique might not work)
A second security will be an auto back-up. I found a method to save the groups out of Firefox.

Update with version 0.5:

Corrupted data is watched and is corrected (if possible)
An automatic back up is provided, then you can import the back up back.

Can you let me know if you face again the problems in the next days ?

After importing a big group list (30 groups with 500 tabs) it worked fine untli i try to switch group. When i restart firefox the synctabgroups window doesnt open. I need to remove all groups in the settings menu. Than the goups button worx again. FF58 and STG0.5

Can you try it again and check the Firefox Console (Ctrl+Maj+J). If you see error (or suspect) messages can you copy them.

I already tried 20 groups with 200 tabs and it worked fine. Normally, it should in the worth case just take a longer time to display.

Ok, im on FF58 and STG0.5.1 I removed all old groups. Than i Import my json-file. After switching to a group, STG doesnt open by clicking the icon.
