Building a Flash Unit #1

TYLER: I am building my own flash unit... I can't seem to buy it from China but I found some really cheap quartz lamp on Ruten... they are 1200nt for 2. They're quite strong (I tested it) and with 2 combined it has a heating capacity of 4000w. I just need to build a stand for it and wire a switch to it...

The IR heater I have isn't cutting it. I placed it 1 inch from the shirt and tested it with a temp gun and it could only manage 130 degrees C. The ink needs to be at least 160C to cure. I post cured it in the oven and it cures it but the IR heater flash unit just won't do the job, not to mention it takes forever to heat up.
