I did some consultation for some guys with a beach resort wanting to do “sand agriculture” - so far they’re doing OK. Your best option, IMO, is to treat it as a hydroponics system. Find a source of clean water, set up some barrels of “liquid compost” using whatever biomass you have on hand, and run the (diluted) liquid through an irrigation system. The other possibility is to plant as many as trees/shrubs as possible (whatever will tolerate the conditions) and try to recreate a functioning ecosystem. Lots of time and effort involved.
