It could be as simple as a single map for the entire village, showing a few restaurants and projects to give an idea of where things are located. But it could also have the more advanced functionality to allow you to filter down the data to just a certain area or set of locations. You could also allow users to search within the map itself while retaining the ability to switch back to the main search view.
