Jquery Refactor and content wrappers to aid theming #60

This if the requested separate pull request for the frontent Jquery refactor.

I also added some wrappers to the index page which have no effect on the current layout, but can be used by themers such as myself to move elements around on the page.

They are in seperate commits, so you can choose to cherry-pick only one of the changes if you like.

Found a bug with this code, I will resubmit when fixed
