In menu the xbox one controller is recognized, but when I start the game, it does not work.

Tried cable and wireless. no difference.

is this a known problem? I was able to use it before. don't know how to deal with this.

Update: after trying everything I could come up with (even clean rebuilt) it still does not work past the menu. button presses are recognized, but analog stick is NOT. I really need advice on this.

update: analog is recognized, but only in full screen mode. seems to be a bug. other buttons work fine.

The game uses SDL2 for the input which is a very common library used in many games. Are you sure that this is the only game where you're having issues?

Sounds like a weird issue either way, not sure what could be the cause honestly

@MorsGames I'm having a similar issue. My controller (a N64 controller with USB adapter) works perfectly in the launcher (I'm able to navigate and remap everything) but not with the actual game. This same controller works fine with the regular sm64-port and Ship of Harkinian (which also uses SDL2). Does sm64plus have support for SDL_GameControllerDB?

I also have this issue. I'm using a PS5 controller if that helps at all.
