Would it be okay if I modified the error message to have a lot more information?

I keep having people (leaders and not alike) trying to interact with the site and being met with error messages randomly. When I ask them to send me the error messages they come back with, "Oh it's working now." It's random, un-replicable, and it has affected dozens of people negatively since the launch of sign ups for 6 weeks groups over a month ago, with the most recent occurrence taking place yesterday with Jess.
While we have a lull between this semester and the launch of sign ups on September 10th can we please fix this?

@amandawmosaic It's really hard to fix a problem when us developers are unable to see the technical error message. I expanded the error messaging (that red pop-up) in the app with the full error message. It now says something like:
There was an error <performing action (ig editing a group)>, Please send this error to the group coordinator:
It would be great if you or Jess or whomever next sees that error message could send a screen shot of the message to you or me. I also made the green and red pop-ups last 5 seconds instead of 3 seconds.
Please excuse me while I try to speak website: I thought that the website recorded anytime an error message was sent. Is it possible to find that information and determine what the user was trying to do (i.e. sign in, make an edit, add a member)?
With a website there is a client and a server. Right now I can see (via email) all server side email, but only the user ( not you or I ) can see client side errors.
These errors are happening client side. I made it so the users will see a more detailed error message and hopefully will report it to you.
