explanation of tiled regions having width of 1 and stride of 1 #18

The tiled windows are one point wide with a stride of one point.

Is this correct. Are the tiled windows only one point wide. This does not make sense.

And @hunter-moseley is right, this actually doesn't make sense. A better description might be:

The tiled windows have a width equal to the detected mode of frequency-frequency point differences, which in this work is 0.5 for the scans used. The stride of the tiled windows is 1.

I will note that you can see that this is the case by looking closely at Figure 6B and Figure 2B, where the red lines show the width of the tiled windows.

And actually, I think it's better to modify the whole paragraph:

Two types of frequency intervals are used, sliding and tiled windows. In this work, the sliding windows are the equivalent of 10 frequency points wide with a stride of one point. The tiled windows are one point wide with a stride of one point. Each point is the equivalent of the difference between data points in frequency space, which is a spacing of 0.5.
