“The Thermo-Fisher Fusion instrument from which most of our collaborators data has been acquired, at a resolution of 450K or 500K depending on the sample, has a mode of 0.5, as shown in Figure 2C and D” is not clear as if the frequency difference range already within 0.5 or should be within that range? Also, the peak ordering calculations from m/z to frequency models need more description.

I wonder if there is something we didn't explain very well here, like how M/Z does not have a constant difference?

Or that we weren't sure if frequency would be constant? I'm also guessing it's not clear that Figure 2D that a whole lot of points are outside 0.5 +- 0.05 (i.e. the points in black).
