Something is increasing the power of this summon. I first crafted it, it was doing normal damage. Two hours later, this is the damage. I've seen way bigger. I've used the Bewitching table, summoner potions when farming Cyrogen. A few kills in, I started to kill it in like 5 seconds. I afk'ed for about an hour, I went down and setup my Brimstone elemental arena, farmed up the item to summon it. Instant kill damage, 6mil + dmg.
I have spider armor set. Summoning Emblem, Jelly Battery, The first Shadow Flame accessories. I am as far as the mechanical bosses/pre-plantera at progression.
Edit: Exiting and re-entering the world returns the power back to normal.
