This was suggested by Nili. She had a pipeline of 800 brains pooled from different sources. Although it's the responsibility of the distortion correcter to check the integrity of the distortion corrected image, it would be hard to trust all people who corrected the 800 brains
Our ex-vivo scans typically have a fairly large FOV and brains rotated fairly arbitrarily so this wouldn't look very good. Might be easonable for in-vivo images though ...
