Idea: The Movement is a new type of decentralized organization. Completely crowdsourced from the ground up and with members from all walks of life, it is dedicated to advance cross-cultural and transnational human interaction in conjunction with blockchain technology and the emerging virtual worlds.
In accordance with the core vision as presented in The Movement's whitepaper, I propose a governance model that I call the "Upbeat Grassroots Governance".
The basic idea is that The Movement, as a visionary collective creative project of folks from all around the world, should be built according to its vision of open and free cross-cultural collaboration, and organized to be easily adaptable to future standards and needs. For this vision to be developed and to allow people as diverse as possible to raise their voices, we can choose a decentralized grassroots governance model that in its very being tries to follow the three core principles (principle -> implication).

upbeat -> motivation
happy -> open-hearted/minded
To allow anyone to contribute productively and earn a piece of the Movement DAO, the headquarter sets up a Community Fund. The fate of the fund's assets are decentrally decided by its community via trusted voting on the blockchain.
Developers and contributors of all kinds that are interested in smart contract development, 3D modelling, virtual world and blockchain research as well as related fields, can apply. Via decentralized work platforms such as Ethlance or an own platform built by The Movement, work can be transparently organized, delivered, and paid for. If the community decides to build something specific, be it a new Website design, any 3D object for the virtual world, or a specific tool that might be desired or required in the future, it can raise the funds necessary and pay collectively for quality work.
Upbeat grassroots refers to the distinctive feature of The Movement's proposed governance structure to facilitate an upbeat manner that is for people and for collaboration and connection among all peoples in general, rather than against. For this to be implemented, profound motivation is required, that in turn will be fostered. Our vision can focus on truthfulness to promote friendship and the potential of collaboration between humans. Upbeat, high energy, and happy. Not merely as a goal, but as the very way to move upon.
A board of elected visionaries that are recognized for their representation of above-mentioned principles will be established, who are trusted and voted for by the community, and who in turn vote for the proposals that MVT holders have successfully proposed and approved. This allows for a double-layered decentralized governance structure that can evolve dynamically.
Among the visionaries are virtual land owners who staked LAND to Greenpoint and who are interested in building on their land in accordance with the Movement Vision. All individuals that have Greenpoint LAND via Decentraland's Terraform event may come forward and express their particular vision of their part within the Virtual Reality. The best proposals shall be rewarded with MVT.
