I think there should be a small addition, maybe I'll make a new mod. #2708

This is in the main repo since there is no module close enough to have this added in.

I believe that there should be such thing as a Modular Powersuit. The ability to equip a suit, and have the ability of a jetpack and a powerful weapon. Gameplay changes include:

I believe the Modular Computers mod should be used for this. However, I'd rather build my own module. But, Modular Computers could be intergrated!

Here are some ways to craft and build (unfinished)

Now, lets say I built my own module. The layout of the module would be as shown: -Battery

Hi @Metatricity - cool suggestion!

The ideal place for this is in the Suggestion forum. There an idea can go through some design, get a potential author, and eventually get moved into the Module forum and have a repo created for it :-)

Mind reposting it over there, including the pastebin link?

As for the pastebin, keep in mind that we don't use the traditional 3x3 crafting grid from Minecraft. So far most crafting is directly recipe based (add ingredients to an input, then pick a valid crafting recipe from a list). There are other suggestion threads for other variants of crafting though, some of which could be more discovery based and involve placement.

Finally the ModularComputers module is more like OpenComputers, in that it is like a computer you put together using modules to add capabilities. If you need a full computer system for the power suit that might still make sense, but it could be overkill and instead simply equipping the right pieces on the character screen (from the Equipment module) would enable special effects like jet packs and so on.

In any case thank you! Will approve the GCI task now but please keep at this idea, it needs an advocate or two! :-)
