From the logs I can see that you started the game from the Launcher (v4.1.2) and clicking on the "crude shovel" sounds like you were playing Josharias Survival?
Unfortunately, the logs don't hint at what went wrong :confused: We definitely need to step up our log game... I'll try to reproduce your issue, but can't guarantee much. Did you play for some time, or was that one of the first things that happened?

That definitely looks related, and we now get a clear error message here. Both reports are about the latest "stable" release (build 82, 4.0.0).
I briefly checked this locally with my development setup and could not reproduce the error. Might be that this was fixed in the meantime, we just did not have another stable release yet (currently working on that). I'll do a bit more digging to confirm this is really fixed.
