@skaldarnar semi-random thought: do we want to have the siteconfig maybe on root level in the repository or is there any (convention) reason to have it in the data subdir?

Let's close this as I don't think we want to bother with changing the prefix now just for a couple of weeks before we make the switch to the new site completely.

The question where to place configuration and metadata remains, though. We can pick that up whenever it bothers us again.
