Open Yoric opened 12 years ago
I think one was started during the Paris Hackathon
My team, from MIAGE Evry, is interested in this projet. Do you have any contact from those who started it during the Paris Hackathon? Is there any other requirement?
The latest version of the Hackathon is here: https://github.com/tx2z/openberg/ (soon to be merged here https://github.com/Yoric/openberg)
Have fun contributing :)
What is the status of project ? I'll soon received a Firefox OS tablet and want to read comics on it ;)
@AntoineTurmel I receive a Firefox OS tablet and have the same problem, not Comic Reader available at MarketPlace. This problem is now fixed: https://github.com/r-gaia-cs/ComicReader (I already submit it to MarketPlace but still waiting review).
@cept0 please be polite and file bugs instead of complaining. This repo is aiming beginners, we have to encourage newcomers, not discourage them.
This project is part of the ongoing Open Web Applications effort led by http://www.mozilla.org to liberate users from the closed, locked apps and app stores. Open Web Applications bring the power and the freedom of the web to desktops, tablets, cellphones.
Formats cbr and cbz are two trivial formats used to package comics. The objective of this project is to implement an open web application for reading comic books in these formats.

As all open web applications in this list, if the resulting application is awesome, it will made available on the Mozilla Marketplace and/or in Firefox OS.
Main contact (pending confirmation): kaze (Fabien Cazenave, Mozilla).
