P.S. The primary language for this session is going to be English. However, since I'm quite fluent in Hindi and Bengali, I can conduct the session in any of the three languages, depending on the participants.
Hello @sayak-sarkar thanks for your submission. This is an interesting topic. Can you tell us a bit more about your experience working with communities. If you have links to specific projects that you are leading, it would be useful.
Gracias!
Hey @Carotejada
I have been a contributor to quite a few Open Source communities including Mozilla for over 8 years now. In these years, I have worn multiple hats in various community roles, spanning from sole contributor roles like code contributor, evangelist, tech speaker, mentor, event organizer, translator, storyteller, Mozilla Rep, etc to community leadership roles like Project Lead, Peer, community liaison (between contributors and the organization), Community leader, Mozilla Reps Mentor, Mozilla Reps Coach, Council member, etc.
You can check out some of my community involvement related links as follows:-

Hello @sayak-sarkar, thanks for submitting! Could you tell us a little more about what you actually have participants doing in the session? And how you will keep it interactive? Thanks!
Hey @danielryne,
Broadly there are going to be two sections during the session:
The first part is going to be more of an introductory part wherein I am going to talk about the general perception about communities like what they are, how they function, community dynamics, common type of community issues and how to work them out, organic community growth vs. expansive community growth, stages of community growth, etc. I will follow this up by sharing some of my own experiences from multiple communities and what I have learnt from seeing these communities grow over the years.
The second part of the session is going to be more of an interactive participation based activity with the participants wherein the focus would be upon sharing one's own experiences within communities. Participants who might or might not have had prior community experiences would be able take part in this activity.
If you have any suggestions for improvements to the session plan I would be glad to hear about it.
Regards, Sayak
