Ideally this would be scheduled at the beginning of the festival :)
I'm quite flexible about the format and have a few other ideas, but this one is quite adaptive in terms of variable numbers of participants. Also, participants can join in late if they would like
@franziskas This is definitely something we'll consider to kick off the queering festival experience, thank you for submitting this! Also, don't hesitate to comment your other ideas in there :)
Hi @arroway, great to hear! Some of my other ideas:
[ UUID ] 18d8d56e-133e-4d5e-8fbb-280f024e9d61
[ Session Name ] Queer Speed Meet [ Primary Space ] Queering MozFest [ Secondary Space ] Openness

What will happen in your session?
First, we set the tone for the discussion and ask every participant to draw a mind map around three central questions. Then we separate the group into two parts (A and B) and let one person from each group sit across from each other. They share ideas around their mind maps and get to know each other before the buzzer rings. Person B moves on to the next person from group A. At the end of the session, participants will at least have met half of the group. We will also share a half-public chat that will let people stay in contact during and after the conference
What is the goal or outcome of your session?
Making everyone feel welcome - even if they don't know anyone at Mozfest yet. Finding other queers to share experiences with for the rest of the festival. Meeting other queer people to stay in contact with after the festival.
If your session requires additional materials or electronic equipment, please outline your needs.
Ideally tables and chairs, but just chairs would also be ok. Nametags and markers (if not already part of the conference) to note names and pronouns. Pens and sheets of paper. Participants should bring devices to allow them to connect on social media.
