This is my second proposed session. One is proposed in Web literacy. So, I won't require a separate stipend if both are selected and I hope it is fine to submit two proposals.

What will happen in your session?
Today, a person browsing the internet and not sharing anything personal can be easily tracked. A simple IP address can provide your geolocation is most of the cases. Things like different analytics techniques, browser fingerprinting can track your activity even if you switch your accounts there on the website. I will go through different ways your identity is tracked by websites and how Tor and other solutions can help on it.
What is the goal or outcome of your session?
The audience will get to know the different ways we the internet users are tracked, how it affects your experience. This will also introduce them with very common things like "Do not track", of which many people are unaware. How to have a different browser identity with Tor. Also, what VPN plays the role in your privacy.
