What will happen in your session?

Techtonica is a nonprofit that provides six months of free tech training with stipends, followed by job placement with sponsoring companies, to local women and non-binary adults with low incomes. We discovered that our participants need an app similar to typing practice websites out there, but for keyboard shortcuts, and who couldn't learn some more ways to work efficiently on the computer? We'd like to build an open-source web app that teaches and quizzes users on keyboard shortcuts. This session will be a mini-hackathon—you'll join us to brainstorm, design, plan, hack, and deploy a product that will help set the digital literacy bar higher.

What is the goal or outcome of your session?

We would like our session to result in a simple, working version of the app, a plan for how to proceed with it, and new connections who may want to continue to contribute to the project.
