What will happen in your session?

Matt Thompson of Mozilla is cited for talking about what "Gear of Open" we you are working from -- during this session, we will use this model to talk about the double meaning of "working in the open" for LQBTQ+ youth and adults.

What is the goal or outcome of your session?

Using the four different levels included in "Gear of Open" -- 0) closed, 1) ‘Not yet’, 2) Open and 3) ‘Shout it from the Rooftops’ -- participants will connect how their project sharing level isn't so different than sharing our own identifies -- to some degree, what we share and when we share it will differ depending on the audiences. Keeping in mind that on many levels, we see these levels on a specturm of personal all the way to public -- with the acknowledgement that with support, we can feel positive about increasing our level of openness with support and guidance from the MozFest Communtiy.
