What will happen in your session?

We will share (and opensource) the work we did in Brazil creating a bittorrent-powered netflix clone we created for the top movie distributor here in Brazil.

There are P2P platforms out there, but they lack billing! And thus, we get to the problem of the sustainability of the platform. How can we guarantee a fair amount of money to the filmmakers if there is no way to pay them? Or if it is hard?

We built this project to give small filmmakers a good and cheap way to share their productions with the world. As Far as We Know, our platform is the only one in the world to include billing, copy-protection and distributed web that is open-source.

What is the goal or outcome of your session?

We want to share our code with the world! We feel we can only make this a big, sustainable project by making this a worldwide project. We want to share our knowledge and for people to steal our code.

Big screen TV for presentation. Probably some stationery.

Out of my head, without thinking too much, I can think of several things:

We have a (dumb) DRM system in place. The DRM system was imposed to us by the content providers who funded the system. How can we make it better and/or less intrusive?
How can we make it easier for people to know the project.
How can we make it easier for people to deploy it.
How to make a community out of it.
We are using webtorrent. Is it really the best solution? IPFS would be a better choice?

(I may be thinking of the participatory session in completely wrong terms, but that's pretty much how I'd like to use it. As a starter forum for asking for participation).
