Vision Statement (DRAFT) I’m looking forward to work with game developers, designers, game players and the visually impaired to make casual mobile games more accessible for the visually impaired and more intriguing.

I'm wondering what the impetus is for your project? Who are you thinking about as you set the vision for this work? Do you have a group of developers, designers, players and visually impaired participants to share this project with? What do you see as the final 'deliverable' for this project - or is there one? Just wondering since this project did catch my eye - I have a colleague who is visually impaired, so I thought of him in terms of accessibility to mobile games.

@bashybaranaba Interesting project. I don't usually make games, and unfortunately know very little about making games accessible. So I did a search and found these which I guess you probably already know about:

Perhaps a key metric would be to start engaging with such an organization to ensure that game accessibility is in front of everyone when they look for games on Google Play, App Store, etc.

A quick look in the Google Play store shows me no direct information about the game's accessibility features. Additionally, it seems this is a point of contention and many apps have been using Accessibility Services to achieve certain exploits.

So perhaps the Open Canvas can reflect a few things about the problem:

Anyways, very interesting and challenging project. I look forward to seeing this develop!

@fraguada I agree with you. These are areas that I definitely have to look deep into.

@bashybaranaba This seems like an ambitious project, which is fantastic. A more inclusive society is great for everyone. On the "resources needed section" could you maybe consider including someone who is an expert in expert in that field. I am not that good with technical, so I am just throwing around ideas. I saw Twitter makes it possible for the visually impaired to also read tweets.
