Mission Statement--This project aims to bring together web developers(front-end/back-end/full stack) to build an interactive web application that will motivate and inspire users to evade the fangs of depression and realize their potential to the fullest.

Interested to learn more about the web application and what types of approaches it may incorporate.

I love this project. I'm also wondering though, there are so many types of depression (minor to debilitating). I'm curious how do you plan to engage with the depression spectrum?

Same here! I will be following this closely.

Ahh this is such a great project! πŸŽ‰

In the "Problem" box on the canvas you mainly focused on the symptoms of depression; curious if you've considered any problems specific to this project (eg, one thing you might be facing is difficulty encouraging users to engage with the platform).

Also interested to know how I, as a person who has long struggled with depression but as a non-web-developer, could contribute (if at all). Maybe there are ways that people struggling with depression could contribute to documentation, graphics, etc!

So excited to see where this goes!!

Will the website be connecting the individuals suffering depression with counselors? Or others suffering like themselves, like a self-help group?

Thank you so much for your encouraging words. I assumed the "problem" box was supposed to display the challenges that the project will help people overcome. Now that you've pointed out, I will make the required changes and also add the problems that I, as a developer will face while working on this project.

Also anyone and everyone is welcome to contribute to this project.Even a non-web-developer can contribute by giving suggestions on how the web application should look like to the user to help fight depression, what color and theme the landing page should be, what features can we incorporate to motivate/inspire the user ,etc. I'll be adding more ways by which even a non-web-developer can contribute to this project, in the CONTRIBUTING.md file. Thanks again for showing your interest in this project.

The idea was to focus more on the latter, but we can even help the user connect with counselors(though it'll be more demanding). As for now, it'll be more of a self-help group.

I thought of adding a section which will be kind of like a wiki page about depression. We'll add information about what exactly is depression, kinds of depression, how to deal with it, etc.

I could see this project needing another contributor type that includes people living with depression (that type could fill any of the roles in that section)
