@beccaklam Good cut! Some notes:

-For shot 1, you'll need to either cut that shot, or you could screenshot it from the NYT - ie if its clear it's an article, you could make a fair use argument.

-for the "what is ransomware you ask" quote, you could definitely use the shot of Fry if you flushed the text to the right

-Check spelling of "Ransomware" - sometimes you have an e in the shots

-the "can we panic now" gif in shot 11 needs an extra second

-throw some tunes on this thing! Lately I have been using Free Music Archive, a curated collection of good creative commons music - http://freemusicarchive.org/ - find a good instrumental track there (no singing)

@beccaklam I chatted with @HPaulJohnson - we think we should simplify the tips here to just the one "Update your software" tip.

We can add a 2nd screen after that with the following text, which is taken from existing software update site, which we can link to.

"Updating to the latest security software, browser, and operating system provides an important defense against viruses, malware, and other online threats."

Looking really good. My newbie two cents:

• I think the screen with the "Updating to the latest security software..." needs an extra second or maybe even two, as does the frame with the url
• I also think the, uh, Simpsons guy (sorry, I'm not cool and never watched the Simpsons) needs an extra half second to better align with the music (though that might change with other edits; it just felt weird that it didn't transition on the beat)
• I feel like the "Update your software regularly" screen should be kind of a bigger deal, since it's the sole tip. The "So:" leading into it builds expectation, and it felt like a little bit of a letdown. Not sure if it could be given more gravity through a different visual treatment, or if the message itself could be amped up. Maybe a screen after the "Updating to the latest..." to kind of bring it home? (And apologies if this has already been discussed. I think I remember you all talking about adding some "Safety First" branding at the end. That might address this point.)
• An overall note on tone: the combination of the dead serious music and the funny pop culture references read to me like we're a little bit making light of the issue. If that's what we're going for, it works.

Agree with Hannah's points - and the shot of Fry (actually FUTURAMA!) - you could try that in the same shot - just laid out side by side in the same frame as the "what is ransomware you ask" text

Awesome, @beccaklam think this is in really great shape.

One thing I'm noticing is that the screenshots of the newspapers look a bit low rez and hard to read - any way to increaase that resolution? I think it might also help to start a little bit more zoomed in on the headline.

Other than that, I think we should start sending these around for review! Nice work :)

Great work, Becca! Looks good to publish from my POV save two things:

1) I'm not sure it will work, but I wonder if you can do 2 quick zooms on the ransom screen in the 2nd shot - rather than a slow zoom in, do a fast zoom in on "your computer has been locked", pause for 2 seconds, then quickly zoom to "to unlock you are obliged to pay..." - you might have to steal a second from the shot that follows, but I think that would be ok.

2) Just make the ending consistent with whatever Natalie comes up with.

I like the multiple zooms on the ransom screen, but I did find the second one wasn't quite enough time. Could that one be extended by a second?
