Description
. The thing is Mozilla has started a great program regarding Student Ambassador world wide but it hadn't maintained the quality of this program which is why many of the clubs are not working and so as the ambassadors who I now prefer to call them as Sleeping Ambassadors. Mozilla aims to take control of the web is still incomplete which is why majority of people still uses Google Chrome then Mozilla .Even my interview for becoming the Regional Ambassador was being taken on skype although it could have been taken on Firefox Hello which shows the lack of promotion of Mozilla Products by their own officials. With the help of Youth Ambassadors we can touch the areas where Mozilla isn't reaching rural areas where people don't know much about web such as the rural areas etc
Agenda
After I was selected as a Club Leader for Szabfirefoxisl Club which technically I opened it at SZABIST Islamabad. I get to experience alot of things such as that these Club Leader are only for students having IT degree where as I was business students. These programs targeted the same group of students meaning that it wasn't spreading especially the idea of taking the control of web via Mozilla isn't happening I mean there are people who are from different backgrounds such as Media-Finance-Business-Civil Engineering who don't understand the codes and the things being discuss in the workshops .Its just like asking a doctor to do the computer programming.We need to make it easy diversify it .Need to be in touch with Student Ambassadors.Work with them .Target people with different backgorunds and areas. Need different programs to spread Mozilla name using Youth Talent.
Participants
Its the planning which is the most hardest part of them all.Number of participant is not a hurdle for me to present my idea to them and to listen to their feedback.If there are 3 participants then we can have discussion in a close group and if it increases to 15 to 20 I mean a proper session would have to be delivered to them in a hall or a room using Mic which wasn't needed when the number of participant was just 3,
Outcome
I am sure Mozilla will actively work towards reaching the far end areas such as the rural areas. Student Ambassadors would be provided with more support as it was previously because several other factors also account in promoting the club activities such as the approval of the event from teacher or faculty etc. Students from different educational background will be supported to work upon various ideas to promote Mozilla in taking control of the web instead of just working on the workshops such as organizing social activity or a charity event what about a Model United Nation Conference related to Mozilla tools.
