Description
Science projects often have the same problem - only people with the same background work on them. The goal of this session would be to show participants how to attract outsiders to their science projects.
Agenda
First there will be a presentation where I show an idea how to include outsiders into science projects. After the presentation there will be a discussion whether the presented idea is viable and how science projects can attract more people from diverse backgrounds.
Participants
Depending on the number of participants I would split the participants into smaller groups for the discussion part and then discuss the groups' results at the end of the session.
Outcome
The discussion aims to spark ideas how everybody can implement the method from the presentation. Ideally it would help participants find outside talent for their teams. Additionally the feedback from the discussion will be used to trial the method from the presentation at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.
