After a conversation with Digitalme, let's update this to the following:
This session will help attendees understand the concept of 'flexible frameworks', using examples from London Connected Learning Centre and Sussex Downs College. This draws on doteveryone's Basic Digital Skills Framework and Mozilla's Web Literacy Map. It will be a conversation-led session with visual thoughts captured by Bryan Mathers.
We will keep the session fluid, recognising that we may have people entering the session space on multiple different occasions. While keeping the main thread going, we will welcome newcomers, weaving them into the conversation.
Questions and clarifications will be welcome throughout, and the session seeks to empower others to take a similar approach to similar issues they may be facing. All of the badges, curriculum, and other resources we discuss are available under a Creative Commons license.
As this is a fireside chat, the aim is to tell the story of what we've done, while leaving plenty of time for questions throughout the session. This may take us off at tangents, but will work for any number of participants.
Ideally, participants will attend a follow-up session entitled THE BIG BADGE THROW-DOWN. We will ensure that participants have our contact details, as well as those of others who opt-in to share theirs. Ideally, we'd like a GitHub repository of badges, curriculum, and resources that link with Mozilla's efforts and that can be reused and remixed by all!
Also probably worth updating the title of this to something like:

Description
This session will take MozFest attendees on the journey through creating London CLC's Digital Champions curriculum, based on doteveryone's Basic Digital Skills Framework and Mozilla's Web Literacy Map.
The curriculum recognises that some of the most disadvantaged adults in London (specifically those with disabilities, older people and those from lower socio-economic backgrounds) are multiply disadvantaged because they do not have the digital skills needed to fully function in society. This is done using Open Badges, a standard invented and incubated by the Mozilla Foundation. The highest level badge currently available is for mentorship, something that breeds confidence and self-esteem in those that earn it.
Agenda
We will keep the session fluid, recognising that we may have people entering the session space on multiple different occasions. While we will keep the main thread going, those not presenting at the moment will welcome newcomers, stepping them through a short overview of the project, allowing them to then join in the main group.
Questions and clarifications will be welcome throughout, and the session seeks to empower others to take a similar approach to similar issues they may be facing. All of the badges, curriculum, and other resources are available under a Creative Commons license.
Participants
As this is a fireside chat, the aim is to tell the story of what we've done, while leaving plenty of time for questions throughout the session. This may take us off at tangents, but will work for any number of participants.
Outcome
We will ensure that participants have our contact details, as well as those of others who opt-in to share theirs. Ideally, we'd like a GitHub repository of badges, curriculum, and resources that link with Mozilla's efforts and that can be reused and remixed by all!
