Description

The session will demonstrate how we use technologies like Jupyter to analyse terrabytes of data in the web browser.

We will allow people to use our open source cloud based big-data platform which contains masses of weather data and interactive tools to process and visualise it.

Agenda

The session will start with a quick 10 minute introduction to the tools we have created. This can be repeated quickly for late comes by session helpers.

We will then get everyone logged into our platform and run examples of how to look at our data.

If people have their own data we can show them how to mix it with our data to solve their own problems.

Participants

We will have multiple facilitators and break people into small groups. Example projects will be provided so that people of different abilities can get started with something they feel comfortable with.

Outcome

We see participants being able to use the platform after the event is over to develop their ideas further. We will also give them information on how the platform works so they can create their own mini platforms if they wish.
