Description

I will try to introduce what is web vr and about the platforms that they can work on and also about the devices. In addition to that I will try to cover making some games on web and introduce them about the leap motion technology as well. In addition to that I will try to explain about the web vr api's and also about the DOM Interfaces and VR display. People will gain good knowledge on what exactly is the web vr and they can experience the games that they have built in the three hours session and they also work on the new ideas of how to help build high-performance virtual reality to the open web. This session is completely based on cardboard and oculus rift.

Agenda

At the end of the session I wll keep a demo session where the students will present their ideas and the games that they have made and also through their blogposts.

Participants

According to me participants can be any because my goal is to reach everyone. Whether it is 3 or 15 or 25 the session will be the same and people will be working on the platform right at the time of the event.

Outcome

As all the people ideas can't be implemented at the time of the event, I am planning to provide the mentorship as only the prototypes are made and not the complete project. Major outcomes I want to see is the ideas on web vr platform(Like what they can implement and do something new) and also the basic prototypes of their ideas and if possible the complete project. People will come to know of how to contribute to open web in the field of virtual reality. We will try to keep regular hangout sessions and try to join irc sessions to put necessary deadlines, so that the prototypes can turn into reality.

@psvramaraju as per my email to you we are not able to offer a stipend to you this year, please let me know if you still want to come
