Description

Data Driven Journalism is one piece in the larger picture of attaining data literacy in society. This session will look at the various roles of various institutions in order for citizens can understand, interact and even collect data that can be used to improve their communities.

Agenda

Participants will be asked to create a picture of data literacy and how it's achieved, with a particular eye on data driven journalism and the need for other institutions to assure citizens have the tools needed to interact with it.

Participants

If their is a small group we will have a small group discussion - but if there are enough people for a couple of small groups, than each will focus on a particular institution and it's role in data literacy.

Outcome

Outcomes will be used to help push forward data literacy efforts.
