Description

This session will introduce the concept of Makepedia, demonstrate the ‘proof-of-concept’ platform being used for a pilot project on local manufacture of products needed for development in Kenya and Ghana, and solicit feedback on ideas for a longer term platform. We will also discuss ideas for engaging individuals and communities who could contribute product designs and manufacturing tests to the platform.

Agenda

Brief informal presentation/demo at the start (10-15 mins) followed by a collaborative design session to produce a wish-list spec for the long term platform

Participants

It will work fine with a small number of participants - if the group is larger we may split into two for the main part of the discussion to ensure everyone gets a say, then briefly summarise the two groups at the end.

Outcome

We will take the 'wish-list' spec forwards for the INterested participants will have options to: collaborate further with us as we develop it; review & give feedback on subsequent revisions, or just be kept updated by mail if they prefer.

Hi @hjbailey - sorry for the delay on our end. The Open Science space aren't going to be able to accept this proposal. Please go ahead and consider it for Localisation :)
