Description
Children to be introduced to physical commuting where they will learn how to use GPIO pins on a Raspberry Pi to make LEDs flash.
Agenda
Children will be given instructions of how to connect up LEDs to a Raspberry Pi and then taught how to make one LED light up. They will need to work out how to make a series of lights flash in a sequence. They can also learn how to add other components such as switches or buzzers.
Participants
Children can work individually or in pairs, they can work on as many Raspberry Pis as their are available.
Outcome
Children will have gained a better understanding how what an output is. They will be inspired to learn more about physically computing and what else you can plug into a raspberry pi.
