This is a group led session, we will introduce you to the world of open source and how this benefits the community, coming up with problems that are affecting the world right now and coming up with solutions to tackle them, these will be updated in real time at the session on the open innovation lab website created as an outcome of this session.
Agenda
In collaboration with a spoken word artist we will then play a game addressing some of the problems that the world faces today, the group will then break up into mini groups and discussion solutions on the problems mentioned.
Participants
People with all skill sets welcome, poet? philosopher? coder? designer? thinker? listener? we need you all, there is no need to bring any additional material, if you have a laptop, we will show you how to issue requests on the github, we will provide pens and post it notes to everyone.
Outcome
A database of all the problems and solutions to those problems created in real time, which will be demoed at the fest, taking this forward we will create hackathons that tackle some of the problems, and if circumstances permit then create an MVP after the sesison collaborating with other teams to come up with something that has a real world use case.

Description
this is a group led session aimed to leverage all the knowledge and brain power flowing during the weekend, aiming to be the starting ground of something that will continue to take shape beyond the fest, we will be focusing on how to produce tools and products that can help solve global issues from education in refugee camps to women entrepreneurship
Agenda
this being a group led discussion, having people with different backgrounds and experiences to leverage off , discuss and debate and create working protoypes for solving the issues be it via forming incubators or digital apps.
Participants
it will start off with a discussion on addressing the issues at hand and move on to creating a spring board of ideas to be taken into future sessions outside of the fest
Outcome
by creating a concrete plan of action, using digital tools and platforms to keep the momentum going
