tentative fit for garage zone
This person has been chosen to attend with the Participation team as a MozFest Contributor. So they no longer require a stipend.
Thanks for the submission Dipesh! We're not selecting this for the Dilemmas zone as we can only accept a small number of proposals, and are focusing on experiences which explore the problems and hard choices that come along with IoT: https://mozillafestival.org/spaces-and-sessions#a-tale-of-two-cities:-dilemmas-in-connected-spaces
This might be a better fit with Youth Zone, and since you'll be joining Mozfest already, maybe talk with Dorine about scheduling an hour in the lab for this?
I'd also love to see this as a series of blog posts like you suggest, or even as teachable activities like on the learning site: https://learning.mozilla.org/en-US/activities
And we can use your expertise in Dilemmas space also, so I'll reach out separately about that.
@marcwalsh @autonome Thanks for the reply but I think there is some confusion as I have not been selected by the participation team.
Thanks
@marcwalsh @autonome Not sure that @dimonga is part of the Participation Team's Contributor gang - the list of names is https://discourse.mozilla-community.org/t/mozfest-space-contributors-2016-application/9757/18 - unless you have later information. Spike
Hi there @dimonga - Sorry, the reason this has been tagged is that your co-facilitator Pooja has been selected as part of the participation team this year. I've added the tag back on to say that you are requesting a stipend. Apologies for the confusion!
Thanks for the submission! Unfortunately this session has not been selected as part of the program for 2016. Please expect an email from us with further information very soon.

Description
The session will allow people to ideate and prototype their ideas related to internet of things world.
We will be giving them ideas about their problem statement and solution related to the problems. The hardware such as prototyping boards (Arduino, raspberry) and basic hardware will be provided to work upon.
The session will be mainly related to activities including solving a problem of user, designing, prototyping and building things.
Also we will be giving demos about how to build stuff and how they can start contributing towards connected devices and buld awesome projects.
Agenda
Giving users problems to think upon or solving their existing problems help them understand about connecting devices in depth. The work flow will be as undermentioned
Participants
The session can be very interactive one, according to the number of participants.
If there are participants less than 5 we will be briefing them about their problem statement, will be getting inputs from them about their ideas and the will be training them about prototyping individually.
If there are participants more than 10 and less than 30 we will be forming a team of two or three according to similarities between their ideas.
Since we are capable of handling participants more than 300 also and we hand done the same in some events too. So the number of participants can be accommodated easily by forming teams or managing them individually
Outcome
After completion of the event the participants will have a working prototype (Hardware based) with them that solves a problem in our daily life including switching on a coffee maker automatically or feeding pet when we are away from home.
These project can be them included under the projects completed for connected devices category and will be made available to all, thus in this way enabling everyone access to number of prototypes.
To take the learning and activities forward, I will be writing blogs on how to start building you own ideas and will be in touch will the participants and solving their queries
