[ UUID ] a5409977-68f5-49d8-8fd6-cdd13ecbf833

[ Session Name ] Brainwaves on the Internet [ Primary Space ] Open Innovation [ Secondary Space ] Decentralization

[ Submitter's Name ] Andrew Keller [ Submitter's Affiliated Organisation ] Push The World [ Submitter's Github ] @aj-ptw

What will happen in your session?

Participants will use the brand new OpenBCI/Push The World Wifi shields to connect to the most popular open source high quality medical grade bio-sensors in the world directly to the web browser.

Push The World has created a fully qualified HTTP rest server that sits on top of the OpenBCI 4/8/16 channel bio-sensor boards. Participants will learn how to gather high quality bio-sensor data and get that data pipelined into NodeJS, Python, SocketIO, or any other platform their hearts desire.

What is the goal or outcome of your session?

Participants will walk away with the ability to use a completely open source platform to acquire high quality bio-sensor data (EEG/EMG/ECG) in the IoT world. Participants will be able to create their own bio-hacking products based on these MIT licensed products. Participants will learn where to go to find all hardware schematics, firmware, and drivers.

If your session requires additional materials or electronic equipment, please outline your needs.

We only need a good wifi connection. I will bring all required open source electronic equipment.

Time needed

All weekend, as an installation, exhibit or drop-in session

Is it possible to add an additional facilitator here? If so, could you add Teon Brooks (@teonbrooks)

Hi @teonbrooks & @aj-ptw! There are two sessions that are pretty similar: yours and @jdpigeon #264. I think we're going to accept #264 but maybe you can merge aspects of the projects together? What do you think?

andrewjaykeller commented 7 years ago

@KirstieJane seems reasonable to join them. @jdpigeon and I were already going to start working to get OpenBCI WiFi Shield into EEG101.

@aj-ptw - that's great!! Thank you! :sparkles: :tada:

Thank you for taking the time to submit a session to MozFest. Due to the high level of submissions, we’re unable to accept all proposals and unfortunately, your session was not part of the final group.

Thank you for taking the time to submit and we will follow up on email very soon.
