To make our session interesting we would have a hands-on session based on drawback rectification in web literacy. In the hands-on session they would write the drawbacks of web literacy, here a fidget spinner would be used as a timer (spinner shouldn’t stop until he/she finish writing). -overview on web literacy (20 min) -Drawback and overcome of web literacy (15 min) -Youth involvement (20 min) -Hands-on (25 min) -Concluding speech (10 min)

What is the goal or outcome of your session?

Hello @Jayapreethi! Thank you for your proposal. This sounds interesting!

I have a few follow up questions- First, I wanted to double-check about the stipend request. Is the stipend a requirement for your attendance or is there any way that you could attend without it? Second, would you be able to provide a bit more detail about which specific web literacy topics you'd be covering in the session?

Thank you!

Hello @jonathanprozzi Thank you so much for the response!

  1. Yes, the stipend is needed for us to attend MozFest this year.

  2. In our session we would be covering the topics: The current status and versions of web literacy, innovative ideas for development of web literacy and the drawbacks of web literacy, through an interesting and fun manner using Emoji's. There would some emoji pluck cards placed. The participants would each pick an emoji and the topic written behind would be discussed. If the emoji with positive expression would be selected by a participant, the benefits of web literacy would be discussed. And if the emoji with a negative expression is selected, the drawbacks would be discussed.

Thank You!

@Jayapreethi - unfortunately we will not be able to accept your session at this year's festival. We had many excellent submissions and simply do not have enough travel stipends available to accommodate everyone. Thanks for your understanding and for submitting your proposal.

Thank you for taking the time to submit a session to MozFest. Due to the high level of submissions, we’re unable to accept all proposals and unfortunately, your session was not part of the final group.

Thank you for taking the time to submit and we will follow up on email very soon.
