There's a bit of a mismatch between the title and the content. I don't see anything specific to spatial data. That aside, this year we do seem to have a number of cryptography based session proposals. You've broken down how the session would run, which is very helpful to me at this time. Thank you!
I do have a question regarding the stipend. Is your attendance reliant on this?
@bunnybooboo First of all thank you sir. We would make changes in the session according to the tittle. And yes we do need stipend to attend MozFest. We would reduce the additional facilitators to one, if stipend can be provided.
The Privacy and Security team have decided to not take your proposal @SONU1101. Unlocking the milestone so all other Mozfest spaces and tracks can now consider it.
@bunnybooboo Thanks for your response sir. We would like to know the reason for not taking it.
Well @SONU1101 I can't deny part of the reason is that we've been swamped with proposals. Talking about encryption, workshops on encryption, game play with encryption, gallery exhibitions with encryption. We could do a mini encryption festival really with how many submitted.
But attendees are not precisely captivated by encryption. We run the task of educating people, but also trying to engage them over the whole weekend with fun activities, new insights, and surprises. At times Mozfest feels almost ideas, design & craft fair. Encryption therefore becomes rather niche in scope, when thinking about the whole experience. And that highly limits how many we can possibly consider without turning our space into a lecture hall.
That aside, your proposal is good. It even goes to the extent of explaining the 3 key elements of a good session: participatory, purposeful, and productive. In isolation, I think you did a nice job in constructing the proposal.
Consider using this idea again somewhere. I sense it would be an engaging workshop in the right environment. Also please keep in mind that it's now being considered by other spaces. Selections are not yet complete!
@bunnybooboo It's fine. Thank you for the response.
Thank you for taking the time to submit a session to MozFest. Due to the high level of submissions, we’re unable to accept all proposals and unfortunately, your session was not part of the final group.
Thank you for taking the time to submit and we will follow up on email very soon.

What will happen in your session?
• Our session deals with ultimate essence for Privacy and Security essential for the current era.
• Participants will learn about the requirement for privacy and security, with its recent invention. It allows them to know how the firewall of one’s privacy is easily broken down now-a-days. • They will also acquire a command on the unbreakable code that would help them to secure their data. • The participants will also acquire knowledge on how encryption and decryption is done and to what level it can be true. Hands on o There will be some alphabetical characters given to the participants. o They will have to convert them to their respective binary form. o Then using BPSK or QPSK they have to encrypt and decrypt them.
What is the goal or outcome of your session?
Our session’s goal is to give clear view on the need for privacy and security in today’s world. It would focus on the importance of their information and its security. So eventually, they would take steps towards the security of their data. The hands-on experience would let the participants know about how the cyber-attacks are taking place so as to escape from it.
If your session requires additional materials or electronic equipment, please outline your needs.
