What will happen in your session?

TextAV is a three-day working group that took place in New York City on the July 19-21, 2017, with leading technologists, application developers, and practitioners working in the area of online audio and video, with a particular focus on the use of captions and transcripts to facilitate and speed up the production process.

Leading up and on the back of the event, we've grown the community of people who are interested in this space. connected on the hyperaud.io slack.

What is the goal or outcome of your session?

And produced resources such as a gitbook of the videos and notes of the presentations

During the session will present a selection of projects that are in active development and ready to use. As well as continue some of the conversations of projects that came out of the unconference part of the event such as an ecosystem of reusable AI components.

The goal of this workshop is three-fold:

• To provide an overview of current software projects and practices;
• Explore challenges in the ecosystem, from transcription to URL addressability, GUIs for collaboration, automation, muxing and beyond;
• To catalyse new open source collaborations to further build out the ecosystem.
