Live interactive demo of the Ripple Mapping Tool, an impact visualization and storytelling app
An interactive analog component where people reflect on consent and storytelling and for people to suggest ideas around consentful tech
It can run as a standalone piece, with specific times for a facilitated walk-through
We’ll share a zine “Building Consentful Tech”

What is the goal or outcome of your session?

Map the many outcomes from the history of Mozfest Introduce the Ripple Mapping Tool as a case study in working towards consentful tech Introduce the concept of consentful tech

Hello digital inclusion- this session is a partnered session which will be taking places at mOZfeST but we need a home- part of this session will be as an exhibit with timed talks- do you think you have space in your gallery for this @hannahkane @sedgwickkm @kenyatta1

Installation - all weekend? We are mapping impact Facilitated walk through First seeds are the wranglers examples pre festival What brought you to MozFest? Often we work backwards- it is better to talk about impacts rather than causes. This should be first steps. Talking about 2017- chart the experiences of the festival. Ask ppl how they got to MozFest, what brought them there? What was their experience over the weekend? Capturing what happened right rather than historically mapping the experiences. Using sessions to show as visual items.

In 3 months we could ask ppl where they took that learning? This info builds out an going temp map to show where things/learnings are moving

Time needed All weekend- does not need management by team but self-driven interaction by audience.

Questions- What does it mean to interact with this tool, what questions arise, what are others getting from this. One slot on to explain the tool, arrange follows up and facilitate conversation
