This proposal has progressed to our next phase of deliberation! We will be following up shortly.
Dear Nicole, I'm seeking clarity on your stipend request. Your proposal has made it through to the next phase of consideration by the Digital Inclusion wrangler team. We've got more folks seeking stipends than we can fund. Would it be possible for you to travel to and present at MozFest in the event that we could not fund your stipend? If you would like we can also have this conversation via email. Thank you!

What will happen in your session?
ChickTech’s session will bring together the global tech community attending MozFest to brainstorm, discuss, network and collaborate with one another. This will be done through a series of interactive drop-in sessions, moderated by ChickTech, challenging the community to help solve real world barriers to expanding the tech pipeline. Each day a new Mind Map will be started to address one current barrier to the tech pipeline and participants will join the breakout discussions or put their thoughts directly, via puzzle piece, on the Challenge Wall. We will encourage the attendees to help identify challenge areas and come up with creative solutions together. Through this, barriers will be broken as we create in-roads to education and training for everyone.
What is the goal or outcome of your session?
The goal of these sessions are to inspire attendees to apply what they have learned as they identify the challenges they face in making tech accessible to all locally. We also want all attends to walk away knowing there is community support to aid in brainstorming solutions after they return home from the conference. By talking and working together, every participant will come up with solutions needed in their local area by drawing upon ideas shared from the Mozilla global community. This area is meant to bring innovation by enabling others to lead the discussion and add to their personal tool kits by collaborating with others in the community with different expertise.
If your session requires additional materials or electronic equipment, please outline your needs.
