I don't know this person, but I so support creating this space <3 Along with our gender-specific workshops, we've had a lot of conversations and people interested in created spaces for lgbtq people to talk about privacy and security online.
Thank you for taking the time to submit a session to MozFest. Due to the high level of submissions, we’re unable to accept all proposals and unfortunately, your session was not part of the final group.
Thank you for taking the time to submit and we will follow up on email very soon.

What will happen in your session?
This session will provide a safe space for queer people to share questions and knowledge related to LGBTQI-specific issues:
We'll start by an activity to evaluate what are our individual & collective needs (threat modeling), then we will have a discussion to share online resources, tips and good practices for guaranteeing our safety online as we deem fit. We'll create together and in real time a board / mind map with the information we gather during the session for sharing online with the community.
What is the goal or outcome of your session?
The outcome of this session is to tackle the specific needs of LGBTQI people regarding protecting their privacy and security online, proposing a space where we can talk openly about our issues. The content of the session will be created collaboratively and shared online to make the information available to the queer community.
If your session requires additional materials or electronic equipment, please outline your needs.
I will need pens, post-its and a projector.
