What will happen in your session?

I will present to participants the results of our researches and different technologies and methods that we are using in DRCongo to protect activists, human rights defenders and journalists working in high-risks environment against digital attacks, intruision, DDos attacks, online censorship organized by intelligence services. Activists, journalists and human rights defenders often share sensitive information and reports on the DRC's situation such as police brutalities, corruption, rapes that can conduct to their arrestation, assassination if they are exposed. They need therefore, strong digital security system that enable them to work in safe and secure environment.

What is the goal or outcome of your session?

The participants in this session will learn different technologies and methods that can be use to enhance digital privacy and security in high-risks environment. Participants will better understand how to overcome online censorship, how to mitigate digital attacks, intruision, etc. Therefore, they will become able to protect their data, to communicate in secure manner and to secure their presence online and to work in digital safe and secure environment.

During my session, I will need to have a projector.

Our visitors over the weekend could include those new to this subject, to those who might be more advanced. Could you please help me understand how would your session might intend to interact with all levels of knowledge? And what form would it take: a workshop, discussion, or something else?
